ALYS1NE

Not entertainment — testimony.

AI-Driven Cinema  ·  Institutional Violence  ·  Survival

She didn't have a voice.
Now she has a film.

ALYS1NE is an AI-driven cinematographic project born from a real story. A story of a young woman trapped in cycles of abuse, exploitation, and institutional violence — where every system that should have protected her became another wall.

Using generative AI as a filmmaking tool — not a gimmick — ALYS1NE transforms testimony into cinema. Every frame is constructed with the precision of traditional post-production and the visual language of film noir: black marble, gold light, no warmth, no comfort.

The project operates at the intersection of documentary truth and cinematic fiction. The story is real. The images are generated. The impact is undeniable.

"C'était son empire. Et elle n'y était que de passage."

The voice is artificial.
The story is not.

ALYS1NE uses an artificial voice by design. Not a gimmick. Not a provocation. An artistic and ethical necessity.

The lyrics explore extreme psychological territories: addiction, dissociation, mental confinement, psychological violence, inner survival. Attaching these narratives to a real, identifiable singer would expose a person unnecessarily and permanently bind her identity to trauma.

The artificial voice functions as a protective mask and a narrative device. It allows these stories to exist without being assigned to a real body, a real name, a real life — and without turning suffering into personal spectacle.

ALYS1NE is not a persona. It is not an avatar. It is a narrative construct — a space where disturbing stories can be told safely. If the voice feels unsettling, it is because the subject matter is.

What they're saying.

“What makes this short film so strong is not only the aesthetics or the experiment with artificial intelligence. It's mainly the feeling in the character. The charged look. The vulnerability. The pent-up anger. The threat. You feel that no slick technological trick is being performed here, but a dark universe is being built in which trauma, power and survival become tangible.”

“The story has a jet black tint in it. An oppressive form of cinema that chafes, stings and lingers. That's exactly why I found it so intriguing. Because this film not only shows a world, but also makes an inner wound visible.”

Ronny Nollet

Director · Editor · Creator of ALYS1NE

I've spent over 35 years in post-production for broadcast television, documentary, and narrative film. I've cut hundreds of hours of prime-time television across Belgium's major networks — VTM, VRT, Vier, Streamz — before turning my craft toward AI-driven cinema.

ALYS1NE is not a technological experiment. It is the work of a seasoned editor who understands rhythm, tension, and the weight of a single frame — now wielding new tools to tell stories that could not exist otherwise.

Based in Antwerp, Belgium.
